Welfareville is a large urban poor community located in the Addition Hills district of Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. The community is home to approx. 60,000 people and is divided into 42 blocks. At Blk. 40 there are approx. 4,000 residents. Hands of Mercy has established a community centre at Blk. 38 which is used to run the compassion programmes made available to children and their families in the area. The center is also used for the spiritual activities of Mercy Community Church, which include a children and youth ministry, discipleship small groups, and a Sunday worship service.
