Kapalaran is a large urban poor community located in the Barangka district of Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. The community is home to approx. 2,000 people. Hands of Mercy has established a community centre in Kapalaran which is used to run the compassion programs made available to children and their families in the area. The center is also used for the spiritual activities of Mercy Community Church, which include a children's ministry and discipleship small groups. A Sunday worship service takes place at the nearby Hands of Mercy ministry center, which many from the community attend.
