Tax-efficient Giving

Gift Aid
Under the Government's Gift Aid scheme, Hands of Mercy can reclaim the tax made on donations. If you are a UK taxpayer, the Inland Revenue will give Hands of Mercy International an extra 28 pence for every £1 you give – at no extra cost to you! If you decide to sponsor a child or family, then a Gift Aid Declaration is included in the sponsorship form, which you will be asked to download. If you choose to give a gift to Hands of Mercy using your credit card or debit card, you can opt to Gift Aid your donation when completing your donation details.

Give As You Earn
Payroll giving is one of the easiest ways to support our work. Once your donation is set up, you don't have to do any more. This is how it works: At your request, your employer deducts your donation to Hands of Mercy from your pay packet each month before tax, meaning that tax relief is included in your donation.
This way it only costs you £7.80 to give £10.

| Giving Regularly |
Standing Order
Regular donations are of vital importance to Hands of Mercy. They allow us to plan and carry out long-term projects safe in the knowledge that our funding is secure. Giving by standing order is an agreement between you and your bank to make a regular donation to Hands of Mercy.
The amount you give is up to you and for your convenience payments are automatically transferred from your bank or building society. In addition, you are able to make those donations on the date of your choice. You can set up a Standing Order to Hands of Mercy when you sponsor a child or family or when making a donation.
